Spring Garden Day & Plant Sale Review

Wow! I think that word pretty much sums up the results of Spring Garden Day and the Annual Plant Sale. The weather cooperated and people flocked to Kings Gap on Saturday and Sunday to enjoy the garden and to purchase plants. At the end of the day on Sunday, there were only five or six plants left unsold. The good news is that those leftovers will reappear next year.

The Friends of Kings Gap (FOKG) were equally successful in selling hot dogs and other goodies over the two days. The final numbers are not yet in but we do know that we sold about 230 hot dogs. In fact, we sold out of hot dogs during the last few minutes of the event on Sunday.

I would like to offer my thanks to all of the FOKG volunteers who turned out over the two days to assist with the food vending, garden tours, and plant sales. It was a great effort.
